During 2011 the PTA has raised over £8,500 to supplement the school budget. We’ll be sharing the total for 2012 here next month. Below is a selection of how the money has been spent.
Wider Opportunities – Music Tuition
One of the main items funded by the PTA each year is the wider opportunities programme that provides instruments and music tuition to all children in years 5 and 6. We’ll be posting some pictures and quotes from children shortly.
Playmobil – Making history a little more fun in years 3 – 6
The PTA were asked to help fund some Playmobil sets to help make learning about the ancient Egyptians and Romans a little more fun. The sets were a big hit with the children and have been packed away ready for the next group of children to enjoy.
Role Playing Toys for Reception
At the start of the school year the Reception teaching staff asked the PTA if they could help to fund replacement role playing toys for the Reception classroom. Thanks to the hard work of all our volunteers and the continued generosity of parents that support our events, we were able to say yes. For more details and some pictures of the children enjoying their new toys, take a look at the Reception Blog.
Coaches for Christmas Panto
Each year the PTA funds the coaches to and from the Christmas panto.
